Jackie Munro-Vahey
Jackie is a lawyer in Santa Fe with a passion for climate justice, immigrant workers’ rights, and reducing health disparities. Before attending law school, she worked in public health and as a documentary filmmaker, engaging communities in media trainings resulting in multi-platform campaigns that promoted community health programs and exposed the root causes of health disparities through narrative.
Jackie’s passion for local food and farming is rooted in her love for cooking, healthy living, and a deep respect for those who grow our food. She has been involved in the farmers’ market in many ways: working for a vendor, supporting the Del Sur Market through her public health work, serving on the Santa Fe Farmers’ Market Board of Directors, and shopping weekly at the market as a dedicated customer.
Jackie holds a BFA in Photography from New York University, an MA in Latin American Studies from the University of New Mexico, and a JD from the University of New Mexico School of Law. In her free time, she loves to ski, practice yoga, and spend time in Latin America, specifically Nicaragua.
